JERSEYFEST FEATURING THE FOOD TRUCK MASH-UP
COMES TO THE MEADOWLANDS MAY 31
North Jersey – Jerseyfest 2014, a celebration of the Garden State’s best food, entertainment and more, will be held at the New Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, NJ on Saturday, May 31 from 5 to 11 p.m. The event will showcase many of the region’s most popular food trucks, entertainment and vendors. Admission, parking and shuttle service is free.
“This year, we are bringing the Food Truck Mash-up to Jerseyfest,” said T.H. Waldman, Manager of Exposure, the company’s events division.
Visitors can expect, live music, Little Town NJ’s beer garden, great vendors and entertainment for everyone.
Said Jason Settlemoir, General Manager and CEO of Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment: “Last year’s Jerseyfest was a tremendous success and with all the new additions, this year’s event will be even better. Our new $100 million entertainment complex is the perfect location to celebrate all the great food, crafts, entertainment and live racing the Garden State has to offer.”
Jerseyfest will feature two local, not-for-profit partners. The Center for Food Action will hold an on-site collection of non-perishable food donations, and the Max Cure Foundation will collect used sneakers and athletic shoes to raise money for pediatric cancer.
The entertainment is sponsored by LG with 94.7 NASH-FM – American’s Country Station, which is hosting a live musical performance by Nashville’s Brothers Osborne and holding a concert ticket giveaway. SixStoriesTold and Kimmy Schwimmy also will perform.
Sports Authority, a featured sponsor, will present its Sports Zone of outdoor games and giveaways, 24 Hour Fitness will have free Zumba dancing and the kids can enjoy bouncing fun at the inflatable games provided by the New Meadowlands Racetrack. Former NFL linebacker, Quentin Coryatt, will be there with live demonstrations of The Perfect Jumper, a unique training aid for basketball players that has been endorsed by NBA greats such as Carmello Anthony and Bobby Knight. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of The Perfect Jumper at Jerseyfest will be donated to The Max Cure Foundation.
Attendees who pre-register will receive a $2 betting voucher and will be automatically entered to win prizes including a special Hambletonian Day VIP package for four that includes valet parking, lunch and a $20 betting voucher or dinner for four in Pink or Victory Sports Bar & Club, with valet parking and a winner’s circle presentation experience.
