Overpeck County Park -Henry Hoebel Area, Fort Lee Road, Leonia
Mahwah NJ - Ramapo Valley County Reservation - Route 202 (2 miles South of Rt. 17) Mahwah NJ (Bergen County) - 201-336-7284.
Although there is no official dog park at the Ramapo Valley County Reservation, it is a great place to bring dogs to explore the wooded hillsides of this park. "The Ramapo Reservation," located in Mahwah, is a 3,313-acre park located in Bergen County. Visitors love to stroll around Scarlet Oak Pond or to MacMillan Reservoir with their dogs. Dogs must be kept on leashes at all times. There are plenty of challenging trails on the eastern side of the Ramapo Mountains.The park offers mountain fishing, hiking, a pond and a scenic waterfall. Ramapo Reservation was dedicated as a wilderness area that permits visitors to bring dogs provided that they are held on a 6ft. leash at all times.
Riverside County Park (North) - Joseph A. Carucci Area, Riverside Ave., Lyndhurst
An awesome off-leash dog run and playground is located in the Riverside County Park /Joseph A. Carucci Area on Riverside Avenue, Lyndhurst, N.J. The 4 foot high fully-fenced area is complete with safety gated entrance. There is ample parking near the dog run and there are trash cans in the enclosed area as well as benches for the two-legged guests.They now have a separate area for both big and small dogs. This is a great dog park to melt the time away with your loving pets.
