The Villa Roma Resort and Conference Center
Who else grew up going to the Catskills Hotels? For those times, I am forever grateful. Times when we played outside for hours, ate gigantic meals and then went out to play again. We enjoyed nightly entertainment and endless hours of fun with our immediate and extended families, many of who traveled together for summer getaways as well as for winter vacations.
Flying was not as much of an option as it is now and just under 2-3 hours from NYC, a world away was waiting for us.
Driving up Old Route 17, stopping at the Red Apple Rest and getting to hotel in time to hit the pool before the cocktail hour are all great memories of a time gone by....Or has it?

From the moment you check into the Red Lobby as I like to call it, you will feel at home. You will be greeted by helpful, happy staff and perhaps even a Cannoli!
From bowling to racketball, from a bounce house to a spider climb and a seasonal Go Cart track, you will never be bored! Good thing there is so much to do, because you will need to work off the gi-normous meals! Villa Roma has both a room only and an all inclusive option. I personally cannot go to a Catskills resort and NOT choose the All-Inclusive option!
Speaking of food, their food is amazing, professionally plated and seemingly ENDLESS! With two delicious meals a day you will NEVER be hungry and may even need to go on a juice fast when you return home!
Located in historic Callicoon, NY in Sullivan County- Villa Roma is close to so many area attractions. Although you will be busy partaking in the full list of daily activities (all in addition to the activities listed above), if you want to explore the region there are great options.
Local farmers markets, Holiday Mountain AND the famous Bethel Woods (home to the original Woodstock site), are just a short ride away!
