Top Swimming Pools in NW Bergen County and surrounding towns!

By Elisa Posniack, Macaroni Kid -North West Bergen County Publisher June 7, 2021

Many NW Bergen County town pools have options for residents and non residents alike. Some are more affordable than others. However, PLEASE check with each location first. Although most pools have reopened, there may be added changes to membership at this time.

Some great options are:

Crestwood Lake (West Crescent Avenue, Allendale)

Crestwood Lake has a clean, quaint beach for residents and for non residents of the following towns: Saddle River, Upper Saddle River and Ho- Ho Kus. Anyone outside of these NW Bergen Towns would have to be a guest of an Allendale resident. They have a small playground, a big basketball court and a covered, camp-like, shaded area for family get-togethers and picnics. There is a beautiful walking trail with landmarks and plaques offering information on the history of the area as well as memorials to those from the town, who were involved in 9/11.

Graydon Pool (259 N. Maple Ave, Ridgewood)

You’ll want to join Graydon Pool, a natural pool formed when Ridgewood residents dammed the nearby Ho-Ho-Kus Brook decades ago. It’s surrounded by sand. Kids also love the zero-entry shallow area with sprinklers. Older kids love jumping off the floating rafts and the diving boards. There’s a swim team and swim lessons for all ages, and members enjoy yoga on the beach as well. (Graydon Pool, 201-670-3376, adult memberships start at $120/resident and $200/non-resident)
