BYOB in Bergen!
From Italian to Greek to Indian food and with all of the “Jersey Diners” in between, Northwest Bergen County NJ has it all. I have so many favorite local restaurants, it is hard to decide amongst them!
One big deciding factor for us and for many patrons in the BYOB option. Being able to bring your own bottle of wine is cost effective for parents and restaurants alike. It may also lead to ordering more food! Here are my top 3 picks for NW Bergen and beyond:
1) Limoncello- Waldwick, NJ
Conveniently located on Franklin Turnpike in Waldwick, NJ, Limoncello is a favorite for locals of all ages. On a recent visit, I observed people bringing in their own bottles of wine and it prompted me to write this article! From Zinfandels with fish entrees to Merlots with Chicken Piccata, the restaurant was filled with laughter and great company.
Limoncello currently offers an “appetizing” Groupon deal as well as lunch specials. Reservations recommended.

2) Novino’s- Mahwah, NJ
Another favorite BYOB spot, located on the other end of NW Bergen, along Rt. 202 in Mahwah, is Novino’s. While it may look small from the outside, don’t be deceived! Serving everything from personal pies to Eggplant Rollatini dinners, Novino’s is a great date night spot for Valentine’s Day or any day!

3)AJ’s Sushi and Cajun Seafood
AJ’s is conveniently located right off the NYS Thruway in Airmont, NY. A rarity to find both an All you can Eat Sushi restaurant and BYOB, all in one location. They also have great lunch specials. I love sake but will settle for white wine with sushi anytime!
