It is the first day of Spring and I am looking for soup? Absolutely! A great soup is not always easy to find but when you do find it, it is perfect YEAR-round! Actually, when going from the very cold winter months into the warmer but still chilly, early Spring season, soup is perfect!
There are also great, healthy soups served cold. Borscht and Gazpacho are the two favorites which come to mind. However, for the purpose of this article we will focus on the best NW Bergen spots to find delicious HOT soup.
There are so many area locations to choose from. From diners to cafes to take out spots and to the frozen soup section in many NW Bergen shops. It is hard to choose, but I will try!
Here are the top 5 soup locations as submitted by Mac KID NW Bergen readers! (I have tried most of them too!)

While many of their soups are sold frozen, they are pre-cooked and easy to prepare. Perhaps you want soup in the next few days. This is a great way to have it on hand to help treat a child's cold or warm a broken heart!
*Honorable mention to Stateline Diner which makes a mean chicken matzoh ball soup!* (Sorry grandma!)
Although there is nothing like our own homecooked soup and meals, it is completely fine to treat yourself and your family! Take a day or night off and enjoy all that NW Bergen dining has to offer!
Enjoy!
